Island Tour

On Saturday, I went on an island tour with all of the new freshman and transfer students. There were mainly just transfer students who were way older than me..like 7 years older. That is a little weird to me, sorry, but it is strange. We went around the island first to the Valley of the Temples with the pagoda, then to Pali Lookout, where the islands all banded together in a war, and then we went to the Swap Meet at the Aloha Stadium (where they have the Sugar Bowl). There was tons and tons of CRAP, it is after all a GIANT flea market. Then to Pearl Harbor. I had never been out on the USS Arizona Memorial, and it was a bit strange to me to think I was standing on almost 1200 dead bodies, but it was amazing to think of what those men did. Next on the tour was to Wal-Mart, everyone's favorite... you could tell all of the kids who we were with because everyone had to buy a pillow. The last stop was to M. Matsumoto's shave ice. If you haven't ever had a shave ice, it is just like an ice cone thing with flavoring on top, except they use way good ice. It was a really long day on the bus, but it was fun. I might go next weekend with the rest of the freshman, after all it was only 5 dollars.

I don't know if I can send this or not. I think I got signed up, but don't see any of the comments. Anyway, Sounds like you are getting into the swing of things. When do your classes start? I am very jealous and wish I was there. Have a wonderful experience. We love you tons.
