This sign was at the beginning of the hike telling us that we are about to climb 4000 stairs and be above the ocean 4000 feet!
All of us stopping for a rest at about the 600th step. We didn't really realize what was about to happen.
Overlooking Kaneohe at 5:30 in the morning.
I made it to the top, and to the top of the building. It was so windy that I had to hold on to the pole. It was freezing and raining and windy!

Ok, so I went hiking again on Sunday. Mainly because I wanted to and because my friends are leaving on Friday and we didn't have another ride to it. Not a good justification I know. The hike was actually amazing, I recommend it if you feel ambitious. You have to start out way early because it is technically illegal. You have to start before the guards get there, and when you come down and they are there, they pretty much turn the other cheek. When we got down, there was a guard, I went down first to talk to him and make friends with him. He showed us a way out that was faster than what we knew about. We climbed four thousand feet literally straight up the mountain and the overall elevation change was four thousand feet. It was amazing, the views, the effort, and the fact no one got hurt.

This above all — to thine ownself be true;
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man
I didn't realize they had finally put up guards. I'm glad that you were able to have that experience. Sounds like you are having a good time and making the most of your college years!
