4:50 am: Hear people outside of my door making LOTS of noise
5:15 am: Decide to wake up and see what the heck was going on
5:30 am: Started packing for a TSUNAMI
5:30 am: Call home and make sure they knew what was going on
5:40 am: Dorm meeting in the lounge, we were informed that a tsunami was headed our way because of the earthquakes in Chile and Peru.
6:10 am: Everyone down stairs was moved up and there were a LOT of girls upstairs
6:15 am: Decide to take a shower just in case a storm does come; I knew I did NOT want to be the one stinking if we were in confined spaces
6:30-7:20 am: Wait around, play cards, make sure everything is off the floor
7:30 am: Breakfast
8:30-10:00 am: Go back to Hale and Wait
10:05 am: Go to Temple Hill and wait for the TSUNAMI
10:15 am-12:00 pm: Watch as a whole lot of NOTHING happened.
While Saturday may have been boring, it was actually kind of a big wake up call. I learned that I can pack pretty quickly if I need to, but the tsunami warning also allowed me to be grateful for the temple recommend I have and the fact that I was able to get my ecclesiastical endorsement renewed. I felt that if something tragic would have happened, I would be just fine. I knew that my Heavenly Father would protect His people, but I was also aware He is the only One that knows what is really going on in our lives. I am very grateful to my Heavenly Father and the safety we were provided with this past weekend. I am also grateful for the comfort I was able to feel, I only felt panicked about my friend's car. I am also so grateful for cell phones so I was able to be in contact with my family!

I was thinking of you when I heard about the tsunami. Glad the scary beginning, had a calm ending. I hope you are having a great semester.
