Mopeds...NOT

So we went down to Waikiki which is about an hour and a half bus ride from Laie to go rent mopeds. Some of our other friends did it over the weekend, so we were going to rent them for 24 hrs and drive them back thursday afternoon. Well, we got to Waikiki at 5 and wandered around for a little bit, then at about 5:35 decided to call the place (Big Kahuna Rentals). With our luck, they were closed and had closed five minutes previous, and totally left. We were stuck because EVERY place closed at five.
We wanted to do something fun, so we saw these tricycle things and no one was too sure about it, but I was all for it. I bargained with the guy and got the rental price down to $7.00 and hour, we rented them for two hours. Best fourteen dollars I have spent. They could only be ridden on the sidewalk, and they kind of zoomed around. We rode to the mall, rode around in the parking garage, then mine decided it was done working. It completley died. I had to end up walking it back the the rental place which was right outside of McDonalds. I got a new one and that one was even zippier than everyone elses. We rode to the Hilton and rode around the pathways there until the security guard told us they were illegal for not federal property. We continued to ride around the sidewalks of Waikiki and all the old people kept asking us where we got these machines from. Mine died again, but I got it to come back to life like 5 times. no joke!! After that, everyone's was kinda dying, so we took them back. Then went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, then rode the bus back to Laie. It was a pretty fun day!
