This academic year presents itself to me millions and almost limitless possibilities. Some of the most obvious are coming through tennis. I recently had my lactate threshold tested (to see how much my body can take before it starts breaking down) and I now have a pretty good idea of where I am and where I CAN be. Also, lots of new friends. This past weekend, the team went up to Sundance and stayed at a cabin. It was GORGEOUS. I LOVE the fall colors that I have not seen for the past two falls. Anyway, besides the scenery, it was so much fun to get to know the team that much better. We played games, sat around, and just relaxed. If you know me, then you know that I am not good at relaxing. One of my goals for being an adult now (:)) is trying to better manage my time. I realize that relaxing sometimes is not the most efficient thing to be doing at all, but it is necessary. I would not have been able to get to know the other girls had I decided to stay in Provo and do homework. That trip was the most efficient way I was able to meet my team.
Yesterday and Saturday we had stake and regional conference. I was BLOWN away. The speakers were all so amazing. Elder Rudd was hilarious, but yet at the same time so profound. Sister Beck yesterday reassured us that we are doing better than we think, but there is still room for improvement; this brings me back to the fitness. She single handedly reaffirmed to me that I am capable of anything. Elder Holland I was a little nervous for because he shushed everyone before the meeting even started, but he was ofcourse AMAZING. Elder Scott's talk I really appreciatied. He also reaffirmed the importance of women and families which I think this world is lacking.
To say the least, this weekend was GREAT!!
